We only have 3 more months to the end of 2010. This year, we have seen lots of new netbook model popping up, and many of them has added (or will be adding) the dual core Intel Atom processor and Nvidia ION 2 graphics to their specs. Netbooks are no longer a device used merely for Web browsing and Internet application which it was originally designed for. So which is the best netbook of 2010? Some reviewers say it’s the Eee PC 1215N, but I think it’s still too early to say now as we are yet to see the performance of the Acer Aspire One D255 and the Asus Eee PC 1015N which will be released in the next 1 to 2 months. Both models will feature the new Intel Atom D550 CPU and the 1015PN will even be running ION 2. It will be interesting to see how these 2 new models compared to the others.

The much awaited Asus Eee PC 1215N netbook finally landed in the U.S. Why is this netbook such a big deal? Because it’s the first netbook to feature the Nvidia ION 2 graphic chip with Optimus technology which helps to save battery power by automatically switch between integrated and discrete GPU. So when play a 1080p video which require lots of graphic processing power, the Optimus will automatically turn on the ION graphic; while when doing normal computing tasks, the Optimus is smart enough to turn of the discrete GPU and just make use of the integrated graphic chip.

With a powerful dual core processor, Nvidia ION 2 graphic, and the Optimus technology, what you will get is a powerful yet energy saving netbook. According to review, this netbook can last for nearly 6 hours under normal usage, and the system performance beats every other netbooks on the market.

Find out more from this Eee PC 1215N review. If you own this netbook, let us know what you think!

HP is introducing a new netbook model, Mini 110, which is a 10-inch netbook with several improvements on top of its predecessor. There will be 3 editions of HP Mini 110: Mini 110XP, Mini 110 Mi Edition, and Mini 1101.

The HP Mini 110XP comes with a 1.66GHz Atom N280 processor, and Broadcom accelerator chipset for decoding HD video up to 1080p. This edition of netbook will be released on June 10 for $329.

The HP Mini 110 Mi Edition comes with Ubuntu Linux and HP’s custom Mi Edition interface for the operating system. It will be available with up to 2GB of RAM and a hard drive up to 250GB. Prices start at $279.99. The HP Mini 110 Mi Edition should be available June 10th for $279.99.

The HP Mini 1101 is very similar to the HP Mini 1000. It will either have XP, XP Pro or Vista for OS, a 6-cell battery and internal 3G connectivity features. The HP Mini 1101 will set you back for $329 and will hit netbook stores on June 1.
