Another New HP Netbook – Compaq Mini 700

Just after announcing the Mini 1000 netbook, HP is now unveiling another new netbook model called the Compaq Mini 700 in UK.

The Compaq Mini 700 will feature a 10.2 inch screen with flush glass panel and a resolution of 1024×600. Other hardware specs are pretty similar with the Mini 1000: an Intel Atom processor, 60GB of HDD space or up to 16GB SSD, wi-fi, bluetooth and an SD card slot.

The Compaq Mini 700 is expected to be available in the UK on mid December with a starting price of £299.

HP Announced Mini 1000 Netbook

HP has recently announced a new model of netbook called Mini 1000.

The netbook will come equipped with Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz CPU, upto, 2GB RAM, up to 60GB 4200 rpm HDD or 16GB SSD, and a choice of 8.9-inch or 10-inch display.

The netbook is already available on HP store for $399, which will come with a pre-installed Windows XP. Another 2 edition of  HP Mini 1000, the Vivienne Tam edition, and a Ubuntu-based Linux (MIE) edition is expected to be released on December and January respectively.

Asus Eee PC 1002 HA

According to, another new model of Asus Eee PC is coming: the Eee PC 1002 HA.

The new netbook model sits between the Eee PC 1000H and S101 — It’s thinner and lighter than the 1000H, but heavier than S101. It features a super-thin 2 cell, 4200mAh battery which helps keep the computer slim, 3 USB ports, headphone and mic jacks, a VGA output, and Ethernet cable.

Dell Launched Vostro A90

Dell has recently launched Vostro A90 netbook for the Japan market.

The new Vostro A90 has all the same internal components as the Inspiron Mini, except for the all-black appearance, and a much higher price (¥92,830 or $998 US).

Netbook in Hello Kitty Design

The Akoya Mini netbook from Medion (European laptop distributor ) has come out with a Hello Kitty design netbook.

This is a great news for Hello Kitty fan.. but wait, the netbook with Hello Kitty design will cost 479 Euros while the standard Akoya Mini cost only 369 Euros. And the hadrware specs are all the same. Now it’s up to you to decide whether a Hello Kitty face worth 110 Euros.

7-inch Chinese Netbook: Lemote Fuloong Mini

Lemote, a Chinese computer and chip maker has come out with a 7-inch netbook call Fuloong Mini.

Measuring 190 mm x 145 mm x 37 mm and weighs only .85kg, the Fuloong Mini could possibly be the smallest and lightest netbook around.

Apple Netbook Rumor

Another rumor for the Apple netbook. New York Times has published an update that says they have been notified by a search engine company that they have spotted traffic from an “unannounced Apple product with a display somehwere between an iPhone and a MacBook.”

“That would seem to confirm findings that a search engine company shared with me on condition that I not reveal its name: The company spotted Web visits from an unannounced Apple product with a display somewhere between an iPhone and a MacBook. Is it the iPhone 3.0 or the NetMac 1.0?”
