Price Drop for HP’s and Lenovo’s Netbook

Both HP and Lenovo has recently announced price drop for their netbooks.

HP has reduced the recently announced Mini 1000 netbook from $399.99 to $359.99 — a price drop of $40. The specs that you will get from the reduced price is still an 8.9-inch screen with 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of SSD, 3-cell battery and Windows XP. The price drop however does not apply to the Vivenne Tam edition of Mini 1000.

Shortly after the announcement from HP, Lenovo has introduced a lower-priced S10 netbook on their online store. The black and blue version of Lenovo S10 netbook is now drop to $449 from the original price of $459, while the pink and red version still remain at the original price of $459.

The netbook market is getting more competitive nowadays with all the netbooks available out there. Netbook manufacturers are now starting to compete in price in order to make the best value netbook.
