While maintaining the good looking of the previous Eee PC 1008HA Seashell netbook, the Eee PC 1005HA not only solve the problem of the non-replaceable battery, but also boast an 8 hours plus of battery life, and a comfortable keyboard and touchpad . Toshiba NB205 Released

toshiba-nb205-n310-brown-cover-450Toshiba finally released its first netbook in the U.S. market. The Toshiba NB205 is an 10-inch netbook that comes with mostly standard specs that are similar to most of other netbooks on the market today:

  • 1.66 GHz Intel Atom N280 processor
  • 10.1-inch diagonal widescreen
  • 1GB DDR2 800MHz RAM, upgradeable to 2GB
  • 160GB HDD2
  • 6-cell battery
  • Full-sized keyboard

Samsung NC10 Review

While the NC10 netbook from Samsung is not yet available in the US, Laptop Magazine has ordered a unit of the netbook from Korea and make a review on it. The result is pretty impressive! Overall, the netbook get a rating of 4 out of 5.

What impressed us the most, is the long battery life which can last up to 7 hours and 34 minutes, with the Samsung Battery Manager 2.0 enabled. This is the longest battery life among all other netbooks available today. Besides the long battery life, Laptop Magazine also complement the keyboard design, speedy and large hard drive, and good quality of speakers and webcam. The Samsung NC10 netbook is expected to be released in the US soon for $499.

HP Announced Mini 1000 Netbook

HP has recently announced a new model of netbook called Mini 1000.

The netbook will come equipped with Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz CPU, upto, 2GB RAM, up to 60GB 4200 rpm HDD or 16GB SSD, and a choice of 8.9-inch or 10-inch display.

The netbook is already available on HP store for $399, which will come with a pre-installed Windows XP. Another 2 edition of  HP Mini 1000, the Vivienne Tam edition, and a Ubuntu-based Linux (MIE) edition is expected to be released on December and January respectively.
